Sustainability for large and small companies

Since the Swiss Federal Council announced in July 2023 that large companies in Switzerland will also be required to submit a sustainability report as of 2024, many companies have been faced with a challenge. This challenge affects not only companies with more than 500 employees, which fall under the scope of the new law, but also their suppliers, including small and medium-sized enterprises. The sustainability report doesn't just concern the individual company, but is intended to create transparency throughout the entire supply chain.

The CRIF Synesgy questionnaire is the perfect solution for both needs. For SMEs, it provides a concise, tailor-made questionnaire that still fulfils all essential sustainability requirements. For large companies, it offers detailed questions and the ability to cover their supply chain while calculating comprehensive greenhouse gas emissions for Scope 1, Scope 2 and Scope 3.

Key elements, such as the CO2 calculator for calculating carbon emissions, are also available to SMEs on their journey to ESG certification. In addition to a questionnaire specifically designed for SMEs, a new feature called Industry Benchmarking has been integrated into the Synesgy portal. Companies can now see how they compare to their industry peers within the Swiss market.

With the Synesgy tool, CRIF now offers sustainability solutions for companies of all sizes, helping them not only to start their sustainability journey, but also to successfully integrate it into their corporate strategy.

For certifications completed by 15 December 2023, not only is the creation of the certificate free of charge for the first year, but every company certified by this date will have the chance to win one of several exciting prizes to be drawn at the end of the year.
